Solid? Liquid? Gas? Those Are Easy…But What About Those Other Vocabulary Words

If you’ve taught the states of matter before, you probably already know that students are pretty good at figuring out the differences between solids, liquids, and gases. Those terms come easily. However, there are so many more upper-level academic vocabulary words related to the topic of matter. These are the words that trip them up so often, especially when working with standardized tests. This year, Teach Starter wants to help you build your students’ Science Vocabulary banks with new printable vocabulary resources for your Science topics.

States of Matter Word and Picture Cards

This printable (and editable) word wall features 32 landform vocabulary word and picture cards depicting a variety of different matter-related words. Each word wall card features fun colors, bright images and easy-to-read text, making it accessible to students sitting at varying distances from the display. It’s the perfect word wall display for introducing vocabulary words and can be used in a variety of ways! Words included are–
