What Are the Responsibilities of the Three Levels of Government?

We’re glad you asked! From printing money to waste disposal, certain public services are handled at specific levels of government. Ideally, this separation ensures communities get what they need to run efficiently, effectively and with flexibility!

This worksheet will help your students differentiate the different responsibilities of the federal, state and local governments of Australia. Students will match each of the twelve responsibilities listed to the level of government that executes it.
