Need Ideas for Thanksgiving Crafts? Try Something New

If you’re searching for Thanksgiving art projects for your classroom, you’re in the right place! This year, skip the standard Thanksgiving Day poster or coloring sheet and try something new to make a statement about the reason for the season – Thankfulness! Let’s make a Thanksgiving Quilt!

This Thanksgiving Paper Craft Becomes a Quilt!

A paper craft that becomes a quilt? Absolutely! This printable template is the perfect way to engage your students and bring them together to create something unique to display on during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.

To create a classroom Thanksgiving Day Quilt, your students will

  1. Think about what Thanksgiving Day means to them.
  2. Draw symbols and write about what they are thankful for in the open spaces.
  3. Color the quilt square in red, yellow, orange and brown (fall colors)
  4. Cut out the quilt square and write their name on the back.
  5. Combine the quilt squares with their classmates and hang them up in rows and columns to look like a handmade quilt.
